Christina Karagias

Christina Karagias’ interest in entrepreneurship began through watching her father and uncle establish and develop Lucky Boy Drive-In Restaurant in South Gate. She attended the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. While attending USC, she landed her first profitable business venture, a residential estate investment in Monarch Beach, California. She joined the Capital Group in 1979, where she learned how to establish and invest pension funds. In 1981, she departed from the Capital Group in order to partner with her then husband. Together, they established one of the earliest holistic medical practices in the San Gabriel Valley known as “Grow with Us.” In 1996, she purchased her first restaurant, Paco’s Mexican Restaurant, which she developed into one of the healthiest Mexican restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. Next it was only natural to create a catering and event planning business. In 2000, she purchased her second restaurant and bar, City Cafe, Azusa. Christina fervently believes in giving back to the community.
