Hear ancient hymns honoring the city’s patron\, the ever-popular St. Demetrios\, sung on the weekend of his annual feast day. Experience ecstatic Byzantine chants for the saint adorning the Cathedral Rite of Constantinople\, sung by the women and men of Cappella Romana. \nThis program\, held under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco and the Consulate General of Greece in Los Angeles\, is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF)\, the Peter J. and Caroline Belz Caloyeras Endowment for the Arts\, and the Mary Calfas Janos Program Fund.
