SUMMARY:Opening Night UCLA: Screening of Tassos Boulmetis' 1968
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival\, UCLA honors its alumnus\, Tassos Boulmetis\, with the West Coast premiere and celebration of 1968\, the story of how A.E.K.\, the well-known Greek basketball team founded in 1924 by refugees from Constantinople\, after 44 years\, beat SLAVIA of Prague to win the European Cup. The screening will be followed by Q & A with the director and a reception to honor his achievement.
