Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks

Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks is the President and CEO of Earth Friendly Products, maker of ECOS laundry detergent and over 200 other environmentally friendly cleaners made with plant-based ingredients. As a primary manufacturer with five facilities across the U.S., Earth Friendly Products has received many awards for its innovations in safer green chemistry, including the U.S. EPA’s coveted Safer Choice Partner of the Year award. Kelly has been recognized for her highly effective leadership and influential voice in the green movement and in corporate social responsibility. She is outspoken in her commitment to sustainability in her products, her facilities, and her employment practices. Under Kelly’s leadership, Earth Friendly Products achieved carbon neutrality at all four of its manufacturing facilities in 2013 through a series of major sustainability initiatives, including the switch to 100% renewable electricity. She has been instrumental in making Earth Friendly Products a model for green business practices and a leader in the green cleaning products market. Kelly was a leading voice in the formation of the Sustainability Consortium and has served as a key strategic advisor to Walmart’s sustainability and conservation efforts. She sits on several boards, including Grades of Green, the American Sustainable Business Council and the Environmental Media Association.
