The UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture is excited to announce that pre-orders are now open for Weaving Dreams: Kilims of Geraki, Laconia, a richly-illustrated catalogue exploring the long-standing weaving traditions of the picturesque village of Geraki.
Weaving Dreams is available in both English and Greek and is the result of a collaborative research project led by the Cultural Society of Geraki and Gefyra; Gefyra is a program established by the UCLA SNF Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture and the SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Fraser University with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
All proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the Cultural Society of Geraki (the Geraki Weavers) and the Benaki Museum in Athens.
